Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire was a location-based virtual reality experience from ILMxLab & The Void. The experience was featured at Disney World in Orlando, Disney Land in California, and at various Westfield malls in North America and the United Kingdom.
The experienced used cutting-edge VR hardware, hand-tracking technology, and "backtops" to move around the stage without a tether. The virtual experience was matched 1:1 with the physical space to add to the immersion if one should reach out and touch a variety of objects - including a replica R2-D2 and K2SO droids.
